Wardrobe Clothing Storage Solution!

I just thought I would share with you all a little brainwave I had earlier today. I have quite a big dilemma in the area of storing my clothes, my wardrobe just isn't big enough! I have a rather small but I suppose average size for most students wardrobe and 3 chests of drawers, 2 with 3 small drawers and 1 with six long drawers. I have no idea how I have acquired so many clothes over the years because I still feel like I never have anything to wear! But this has become a real problem as I have clothes everywhere and my room is never tidy. This is a before pic of the awful state of my room:

My bf insisted on being in the pic lol.

They don't belong there.

These were taken whilst a lot of my clothes were in the wash, so it's not even at it's worst. Unfortunately, my room used to be a lot worse than this but I rearranged and although it's an improvement it's still not ideal so I was pretty stuck for ideas. My lovely little brainwave was these 3 of these very useful storage boxes:

I have decided that from now on I am going to put away the clothes that are out of season. In summer I will fill these boxes with jumpers, scarves, coats etc and in the winter I'll put in my skirts, vests, bikinis etc. The boxes I chose are made specifically to fit under beds which is handy because it's out of sight. Two of the boxes are for my clothes and one will be for my shoes. And okay, so I admit that whilst I was sorting this all out, I realised I have ALOT of clothes and desperately need a clear out, which is probably the real problem, oops! This has really helped with the look of my bedroom though, I just need to do a little more tidying up. What do you guys think?

Look so much tidier!

There's still a lot of clothes in there but they all fit now!!

This is where that horrible massive pile of clothes was, need to find some photos to fill the frame!

Day 11 - Bag you want to have...

I have far too many bags and always spot one I love when I go out shopping so it has come to the point where I actually have to ban myself from buying any (sob!). I do however, still love a bit of window shopping and have seen a couple I would looove to have in my life!!

This first one is from Dorothy Perkins. I spotted it when I bought my lovely shrug/kimono type thing I showed in a previous post and reeeeally wanted it because it matched. They deliberately put them next to each other so that you'd do exactly that, buy them to match but I didn't fall for it muahahahaa! For once.
Anyway, it's really cute but not very practical because I think it's more for a night out, you certainly couldn't fit much in it...

The next one I spotted on www.suzysmith.com which I recently discovered when I spotted a purse on Asos by them. Of course the reason it caught my eye is the fact the it is leopard print hehe! And I love the colour of it too, so it's a definite want!

What do you think? Thanks for reading!! xxx

Day 10 - Current fashion/style you like...

I really love all the floaty spring florals that are popular right now. Everyone seems to be wearing thin, kimono type things which just look so pretty and make me really want summer to hurry up!! I also really love them with brown accessories, bags or shoes, I think the mixture of brown and floral is just beautiful :) Here's a few pictures of what I mean:

Day 9 - Your favourite pair of shoes...

This was such a difficult one, I'm always, always, always buying new shoes! I have a complete obsession and I love them all! But I've finally decided on my lovely little coral pair from Topshop. I've had them for nearly two years and they're still in pretty good condition! I recently went on a little holiday and when I checked Facebook I found some pictures of my mum wearing them to a party! She'd stolen them when I'd been away but I caught her ;) haha!
Anyway, they're the cutest little things, an absolutely gorgeous colour, unfortunately they're coming across slightly red in the picture but never mind. I just so happen to have a nail polish in exactly the same colour too! Which is handy if I scuff them because I just colour them in and you can't notice!! They have a lovely little bow on the front and they're not too high so if I wear them for a night out they don't hurt AT ALL and I can also wear them throughout the day. Perfect! :)

Thanks for looking! xxx

Day 8 - A photo that makes you laugh...

Let me start by apologising if anyone is offended by the language in this photo, I wanted to change it so that it said 'OMG' instead but didn't know if that was in breach of any copyright rules. Anyway, I just think the caption makes this picture hilarious because the animal, whatever it is, does look pretty happy! Haha. The first time I saw this picture I couldn't stop laughing at it so I just had to post it for my Day 8 :)

Picture is from Google, there's millions of them.

Thanks for reading!! Do you think it's funny? xxx

Day 7 - Favourite animal (pic heavy)...

There is no way I could ever possibly choose a favourite animal! Such a boring answer I know but I just love love love love love so many types of animals. When I was younger I used to think sheep were the cutest things ever and was convinced that 'when I grow up' I was gonna have one and let it live in the house and make it think it's a dog! I love big cats, they're stunning and I have two mini versions at home. So instead of choosing my favourite type of animal, I thought I'd post a few pics of the animals in my life that I love to bits, here they are...

My gorgeous puss Fliss, who looks rather unimpressed, I probably woke her up :/

My other baby Tig, the laziest thing to have ever lived, and he's getting a bit chubby in his old age!

My uncles dog Rosie, she's a lot bigger than this now but still sleeps like that! So cute!!

My uncles other pup Poppy who, from the look of this picture, is apparently an alcoholic! Haha...

My boyfriends dog Harvey, the biggest wimp ever but he just melts my heart! So adorable!! This is the only decent picture I could find, he'd ripped his leg open on some barbed wire :'(

And that's it, all the gorgeous animals in my life, I love them so much. Thanks for reading!! xxx

February buys...

Today is supposed to be my day number 6 of the 30 day challenge which was 'Anything Hello Kitty', I (gasp!) don't actually own anything Hello Kitty so I decided to do a review of all my February buys instead, including nail polish, clothes and make up. Beware, very long post!! :)
I bought quite a lot in February, especially in half term! I was in Newcastle for a week staying with my grandparents and I can't resist the shops there, they just have everything!! Here's what I picked up...

My first buy was in New Look, I got these lovely little boots for just £9 because I found an old gift voucher I hadn't spent, yay!! RRP £19.99, they had another version that were slightly higher and more for a night out but I wanted these everyday ones which looked much comfier :) they're such a nice colour too! Hehe :)

The next thing I bought was from Dorothy Perkins and I just absolutely fell in love with it, I think it's called a shrug but I was calling it a kimono, I dunno. Anyway, this was £30 and I just had to have it. I actually didn't buy it at first and regretted it as soon as I got home so dragged my poor boyfriend out again the next day so I could get it, haha! At first I was a bit worried it wouldn't go with anything because I don't really have anything that colour but it looks fine with almost everything! And it's definetly the centrepiece of any outfit. Oh I could talk about it all day it's just so gorgeous!!

I also found a cute little blue LEOPARD PRINT!!! scarf in Dorothy Perkins that was down to £7 and armed with my student discount I had to have it!! ;) Kinda looks grey in the pic but it's definetly blue :)

I then took a trip to Sally's and Boots. I got 5 Barry M nail polishes, 3 China Glazes, the new Volume Million Lashes mascara, some nail art stickers and some pointed cotton buds/q-tips. The nail stickers I got are so cute, they're fruit so like watermelons and apples. I got them to wear with some pastel coloured nail polish in the summer, hoping to encourage the sun to come out! It didn't work :(
Anyway, here's a picture of the nail polishes I got:

From left to right on the top row (All Barry M); Instant nail effects, Vivid purple, Mushroom, Gold and Silver Cascade.
From left to right on bottom row; China Glaze Sea Spray, Fifth Avenue and the orangey one just says 'V' on the label so I think that's it's name. Then I have OPI's Simmer and Shimmer and a bottle of Seche Vite.

I have to say the Vivid Purple is absolutely gorgeous, i've been wearing it today and had so many compliments, even by my teacher who caught me putting it on in class! It's a lovely deep shimmery purple colour with some very subtle pink undertones, I think it's definitely my favourite at the moment :)
The Seche Vite I have never used before but after joining blogspot I've found that so many people seem to swear by it so I thought I'd have a look on ebay and see if I could find it for a decent price, which I did :)

I thought it would be too long a post to write about each item in full but if anyone has any requests then I will of course do so, just leave a comment below. Thanks for following!! xxx
