Day 19 - Your favourite look from a beauty guru...

My favourite look from SWalkerMakeup is this one here: link. It's the one she created for the A level results night out and it's so easy yet absolutely gorgeous. As she says at the end, all you need is a black eyeshadow, a bronze eyeshadow and some masking tape. Simples!!

Day 18 - Your favourite beauty guru...

My favourite beauty guru is SWalkerMakeup, I think she's the first beauty guru I ever came across and she sort of made me so much more passionate about beauty products. Before, I just thought making yourself look good was just part of everyday life and I just did it because I felt I had to. After seeing how much she loved makeup, hair and other things I realised that I actually really liked it too and started to take more pride in getting ready. I first came across her youtube channel about a year and a half ago and have never missed one of her videos since and, more recently, have started following her blog which inspired me to make my own! Here's a few links:

Her youtube channel: SWalkerMakeup
Her blog: SWalkerMakeup
Her twitter: @SWalkerMakeup

Go follow, subscribe etc, she's great!!

Day 16 - Music you like...

This is such a difficult one, I love so many types of music I could really be here all day, I'll listen to anything! However, I suppose if I really think about it I do have a few special favourites, all the links lead to Youtube...

My all time favourite band is a british group called 'The Kooks'. Their music is so upbeat and quirky and they sort of remind me of the summer. Here a few of my favourite songs of theirs:
She Moves In Her Own Way
Seaside
Naive
All of these songs are from their first album 'Inside in/Inside out', I definitely prefer this to their second album 'Konk' but I really like both :)

I also really love Bruno Mars, he writes such feel good songs and I looove his voice, here's my faves:
Runaway Baby
The Lazy Song
Somewhere In Brooklyn
And of course his big hits 'Just The Way You Are', 'Grenade' and 'Billionaire', but since these are all so overplayed I didn't think you'd need a link :)

Pixie Lott is another favourite of mine, I don't know how well known she is in the US but over here she's very popular, her voice is amazing!!
Boys and Girls
Rolling Stone
Coming Home (ft. Jason Derulo)
Her songs are soo catchy and I just can't get over her amazing voice!!!

I've always loved P!nk too, her lyrics and so meaningful and she just always seems to reinvent herself, she's fabulous!! I love her depressing songs for when I'm feeling down, she always seems to say exactly what I'm feeling...
Don't Let Me Get Me (such a classic!!)
Glitter In The Air
Mean
These are just a few, she has sooo many amazing tracks that I love!! :)

I'd be really interested to hear other people's opinions on my choices. Everyone seems to love Bruno Mars and Pixie Lott, I don't think many people have heard of The Kooks since they haven't brought out any new material in a while and I think P!nk is quite controversial. Let me know what you guys think, thanks for reading!! xxx

Day 15 - Your favourite bracelet...

My favourite bracelet is definitely the one my boyfriend bought me for our first Christmas. It's absolutely gorgeous, lots of little silver hearts linked together. I was so surprised as he'd convinced me he hadn't really got me very much and I didn't realise he had such good taste! I love it so much, not only that it's beautiful but it's got meaning behind it, which makes it even more special :)

I believe he got it from F. Hinds :)

China Glaze new Anchors Away set...

Long and pic heavy post!! Managed to sneak a trip to Sally's today because my boyfriend needed to go to the industrial state for some boring car parts and that just so happens to be where Sally's is, woop! I get so excited about these things, hehe. Anyway, I tried to be good and looked in their bargain bucket first and got 3 nail polishes that were 85p each from a brand I haven't tried before and since they had some really lovely colours I had to give them a go. Anyway, walked past the Anchors Away stand to the cash desk being really well behaved and not spending when, uh oh, what do they have on the cash desk? A little 4 pack of mini Anchor's Aways!! I am such a sucker for mini things and couldn't resist asking how much it was insisting I was just wondering. After the lady had rung up all my items I was about to walk away when I could just hear the mini bottles shouting my name and I heard myself uncontrollably saying 'I'll take them'... oops!! I soo don't regret it though, they're freakin gorgeous!!

L-R: Life Preserver, Ahoy!, First Mate, White Cap

First Mate
I love this, it's a gorgeous deep, dark blue that's not quite navy. The picture makes it look a little lighter, but only a tiny bit. I believe this only took 1 coat, but I realised when looking through the pictures it could probably do with another coat, still such a lovely nail polish.

Life Preserver
This is a lovely sort of dark orange, again this only needed one coat, bearing in mind I apply nail polish quite thickly. I love this one also!

Ahoy!
I am in love with this colour!! The picture doesn't really do it justice it's not quite as bright in rl. It's got some lovely shimmery bits of glitter in that are a sort of orangey colour. It's gorgeous!! I'm so not a fan of wearing pink on my nails but this is an exception, I'm keeping this one on!! This one actually needed two coats but the amazingness of the colour more than makes up for that :)

White Cap
This one's quite difficult to photograph but you can sort of get an idea. If i'm honest i'm not all that keen on white cap, it couldn't be worn on it's own as it's completely see through and is probably more to be worn over one of the other colours. I'm wearing it on it's own on my index finger but I didn't like it and decided to wear it over Sally Hansen's natural white on the others. I think it's the same shimmer from the Ahoy! and so is a nice shimmer to put over something. I'm not a fan of these types of polishes so it's not my favourite and it needed about 3 or 4 coats.

I also picked up Sea Spray on my previous trip to Sally's and thought it made sense to include it in this post:
Sea Spray
I reeeeally love this colour also, it's more of a grey with blue than a blue with grey when you actually have it on, bearing in mind I put this on in the evening with artificial light so it could be different in natural light. It has some very subtle shimmers in it too. This needed a couple of coats, it's not quite as thick as the others. An absolutely gorgeous colour.

I really love this collection, I nearly bought Lighthouse as well but my willpower took over so if any of you guys have tried it let me know what you think :)
All these pictures were taken with one coat of Seche Vite over the colour, hence the shinyness :D

Day 14 — Photo of a hairstyle/haircut you'd like to have...

My hair is naturally quite straight and I really hate it, I've had it permed but it's still not really curly enough for my liking. Ideally I would really love just some nice waves like surf girl hair or some lovely loose curls. I love this picture of Taylor Swift, her hair looks gorgeous and just how I would love to have my hair. I'm pretty sure this is natural too, she's so lucky!!
